Mint Lemonade Ingredients:

For the Mint Simple Syrup:

  • 1 Cup Cane Sugar
  • 1 Cup Filtered Water
  • 6 Fresh Mint Leaves

If you prefer your lemonade less sweet, then adjust how much simple syrup you add at the end but keep this simple syrup recipe the same. The 1:1 ratio is ideal for creating this syrup.

For the Mint Lemonade

  • 1 Cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice – this is about 6-10 lemons depending on their size.
  • 4 Cups Filtered Water
  • Mint Simple Syrup

This recipe calls for all of the simple syrup, but you can cut it in half and save the rest in the refrigerator for up to a week in an airtight container if you prefer.

Alternatively, you can cut the simple syrup recipe in half while keeping the same ratio: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, 3-6 mint leaves.

How to make homemade mint lemonade:

Step 1

Combine one cup of sugar and once cup of water over medium heat in a saucepan and stir well until the sugar is well dissolved.

Step 2

Set the syrup aside to thicken and cool and begin juicing the lemons.

Step 3

Combine 1 Cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice with 4 cups of cool filtered water. Mix well and then add in the homemade mint simple syrup. Combine well and pour over ice.

Serve chilled over ice and garnish with mint leaves and a lemon slice.

For a fizzy twist on this homemade mint lemonade, replace the filtered water with club soda when making the lemon juice mixture and serve immediately.

This mint lemonade is rich in vitamin C and wonderfully revitalizing for a scorching summer day. Cheers to enjoying every last sip of this invigorating drink under the sun!
