This super easy Caprese Board has been my favorite mid-afternoon snack lately. It only takes a second to put together and the mozzarella and olive oil give me energy and keep me full until dinner time. Give this easy snack board a try on it’s own for a healthy snack or pair it with dinner for a yummy fresh side.
I don’t know what it is about arranging food on a serving board, but my family is 10x more likely to eat whatever I’m making it if I do. This Caprese Board is the “snack take” on a traditional Caprese Salad. I use freeze dried basil since I usually have it on hand, but feel free to swap that out with fresh basil for even more flavor.
Caprese Ingredients
Fresh Mozzarella- Fresh Mozzarella is a soft and creamy cheese. Avoid choosing a low moisture mozzarella for this one.
Tomatoes- For this snack, I like large tomatoes over cherry tomatoes but any tomatoes will work
Olive Oil- This ingredient is so important for this caprese board. Reach for your high quality olive oil for this recipe. I love the Kosterina flavored olive oils for this recipe.
Balsamic glaze- You can buy this pre-made or make it yourself. Here is a really simple recipe to follow if you decide to make it at home!
Salt and Pepper- To Taste
Basil- Freeze dried or fresh
